Context
We turned a preventive medicine protocol into a mobile self-screening, letting patients do it on their own, no doctor required.

Livez is a personalized prevention platform that helps reduce chronic diseases. It builds a custom plan with screenings done via mobile or in-person appointments.
The Problem
Many users delay treating MSK issues until they worsen. Early detection can help prevent that.
The Challenge
Empower individuals to do their own musculoskeletal screening, usually done by a doctor.

User Research
We found that many users avoid screenings because they feel uncomfortable with doctors and often delay going to clinics.
Market Research
We looked at fitness, physiotherapy, and assistant apps to learn how to guide users clearly and support them through the process.
The project adapted a medical protocol for mobile, combining exercises and questions into a clear, supportive flow.
Motion Tracker Preperation
Instructions
After learning the movements, we filmed them to set the sequence and guide the animation.
Body Tracking
We used Google body tracking technology to demonstrate, validate, and accurately reflect the user's movements.
Voiceover
We added voiceover and rolling captions to make instructions and feedback easier to follow from a distance.
Bold UI
Due to the device's small size and distance from the user, we increased the size of all UI elements.
No Buttons
For a consistent user experience, we didn't require any actions during screening, like approaching the device, to avoid device movement.

While performing the movements
Small Steps
We realized the need to break down each movement into distinct movements and technically verify and provide feedback for each one individually.
Flexible Flow
We created an alternative flow for users who don't grant camera access.
Questionnaire
A series of questions similar to those a sked by doctors, allowing users to rate the level of impact on their daily routine

Result & Actions
Users answered a set of simple questions, similar to those a doctor would ask, rating how their condition affects daily life.
The results screen showed limited but sensitive information, using bold text and a positive background to encourage follow-up if needed.
Education
At the end of each screening, we added an education section that explains the user's current position on the medical scale, and where they should ideally

Passing Ideas Clearly
I learned that using multiple references, personal sketches, and clear examples is the best way to pass on an idea and make sure it lands right.
